welcome!

We are proud to announce that Bakuhatsu Taiko Dan is hosting this years Annual Intercollegiate Taiko Invitationals for the first time!
In 1995, Stanford Taiko hosted the first Intercollegiate Taiko Invitational, an annual event that brings together collegiate groups from across the country and helps strengthen the intercollegiate community through workshops and performances. Taiko is the Japanese art of drumming that incorporates movement, rhythm, and energy. This year, Bakuhatsu Taiko Dan at UC Davis will be hosting the 16th annual invitationals.

On both Saturday and Sunday, a FREE FREE FREE performance will be held at the Davis High School Brunelle Performance Hall where each of the collegiate groups will perform for you. Come out and watch all of the groups, and see the many different playing styles taiko has evolved into. Different groups will be performing on both Saturday and Sunday, so come out to both days and see a completely different show.
