In addition to performing for the benefit of the community, Bakuhatsu is organizing this year’s annual Intercollegiate Taiko Invitationals. This event provides a rare opportunity for college taiko groups from across the nation to come together and share their varying experiences, as well as learn from taiko masters from around the world. We now have less than a year to raise funds for the estimated $10,000.
WHAT INTERCOLLEGIATE TAIKO INVITATIONALS CONSISTS OF
The event is held annually over three days on Memorial Day’s weekend in May. Every year this event has grown and we expect over 250 participants from all corners of the globe to come together and celebrate their love of taiko in 2010. At the end of each day, a free performance (open to the public) is held, featuring a collection of different collegiate taiko groups. The programs to be handed out to attendees include an advertisement section and we will print hundreds posters and fliers to be posted all around the campus and the city to promote this event. We also plan to hold promotional events and performances throughout the year to spread the word to the community.
WHAT YOU CAN DO
We are seeking help from the community to make sure this major cultural event is a success, and anything helps! We are currently seeking sponsorships, donations, advertising venues, performance venues, and anything else you can provide that will aid us in meeting our goal. One way you can help us is by placing an ad in this year's Intercollegiate Taiko Invitational Program, which will be passed out to hundreds of people. If you would like to download the form to place an advertisement with us, please click on the link below.
